BOUND is a long-form documentary photography project centred on an old house in rural Clare.

Following the loss of a rented home after two decades in a neighbouring county, the work explores a return to a vacant family farmhouse. Offering refuge while also tethering its occupant to the past, the house becomes both sanctuary and burden.

Moving between the ideas of being homeward bound and bound by home, the project reflects on ageing, precarity and the emotional weight of domestic space through portraits, interiors, objects and landscape.

Through one woman's experience, BOUND asks what happens when the search for shelter leads not to security, but to a house whose future remains as uncertain as her own.
